It is against the law to discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, age, disability or marital status.

A complaint may be filed by any person aggrieved by an unlawful employment practice.

• A complaint may be filed at any time within 365 days of the occurrence of the alleged unlawful employment practice.

• A written complaint may be filed with the office of the FCHR. The date of the filing shall be the date of the actual receipt of the signed and verified complaint by the FCHR. Any document received after 5:00 p.m. (Eastern time) shall be filed as of 8:00 a.m. on the next regular business day.

The complaint must be filed no later than 365 days after the prohibited personnel action (e.g., termination of employment).

The Commission may refer your complaint to another agency (Governor's office, Inspector General, etc.), as applicable.
